Happy Oktoberfest Wednesday
 I’m
sure everybody knows this is Oktoberfest Wednesday in Appleton. Friday
night is License to Cruise and Saturday is Oktoberfest. As always our
Parking Lot will be monitored so there will be a place for everyone
coming to Flanagan’s Stop And Shop or Wine Review to park.
Bonus, come to the Wine Review on Friday Night to eat and
after, leave your car in our Parking Lot to walk the Avenue. NO PARKING HASSLES.
Now onto the Wine Review Specials. Wednesday Night we are
repeating our Monte Carlo Steak and Rutherford Hill Merlot Promo. I
have enough to last through Wednesday. Everybody on Tuesday loved it.
>> PLEASE, TAKE OUR NEW SURVEY - We thrive on feedback <<
A 12 oz Certified Angus Prime Monte Carlo Steak ( NY
Strip), and a bottle of Napa Valley Rutherford Hill Merlot. The
steak is a prime New York cut that is second to none in taste, paired
with a black pepper an ancho chili crust, topped with a cherry tomato
relish, with parmesan cheese, cilantro, and garlic. This dish pairs
perfectly with the Rutherford Hill Merlot which was awarded 94 points
in Wine Advocate. This wine is regularly $29, but for Tuesday and
Wednesday, you get both for only $33! This pairing has a regular price
of $62, thats almost 50% OFF! New Thursday Night
only enjoy a complimentary $5.00 glass of Becks Oktoberfest with every
entrée on Thursday Night to get you in the Oktoberfest Mood.
Next, Friday and Saturday we have our 8 Hour Braised Pork
Medallions in a mushroom and Pork Demi glace with caramelized chipotle
onions and roasted mushrooms for only $22.00 (It will be on the menu in a couple of weeks for $32). There is a limited supply of this so hurry. They were huge last weekend.
Yes we are having a Tasting this Saturday. The
theme for this Tasting will be Oktoberfest (Imagine that) we will be
sampling 5 German Wines and 5 Oktoberfest Beers. I will explain the
difference between Kabinett, Spatlese and Auslese. We will taste a
sweet German Red wine and don’t forget we will taste 5 great Oktoberfest
Beers.
Our appetizer for Saturday's tasting is Chef Bryan dancing in the kitchen
A Little Taste Of Germany. We will be serving a German
style sausage platter, cooked in German beer and served with an incredible braised
red cabbage and German style lentils for only $5. (Almost enough for a meal). Awesome I tried it already.
