Seafood Flight
The delicious seafood on this week's flight special are tilapia, scallops, and salmon. The three wines in the flight are Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Flights are great because they allow for you to sample a few different wines before deciding on a glass. The three wines in the flight bring out the best tastes in the seafood. The secret with pairing seafood and wine is to go for similar flavors in each.
The Gewurztramier compliments the zippier toppings on the tilapia with subtly sweet notes to calm the palate. The rich flavor of the sesame oil on the scallops is added on to by the rich buttery flavor of Chardonnay. The salmon is paired perfectly with the Sauvignon Blanc due to the match between the citrus flavors in both.
The seafood flight is priced great this week at only $25!
Flat Iron Flight
A delicious 10oz. flat-iron steak is served with caramelized onions, mushrooms, blue cheese sauce, and fresh basil. Just like the fish sampler this also will be served with a 3 wine flight. The three wines in this flight are Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, and Malbec.
     The Pinot Noir goes great with the flat iron because it is the least dry of the reds, having a great flavor with the meat. The Sangiovese has awesome black cherry flavor which compliments the mushrooms and onions in the dish. The Malbec (my personal favorite with the steak) is a very light style Malbec with great coffee and earthy flavors making the flat iron taste amazing!
The flat iron flight is on special this weekend for only $25 while supplies last! I would hurry down and try one of these delicious steaks while you can!
