Welcome to a rainy spring Wednesday,
Today is the 100th day of the year and wow is 2010 flying by.
Saturday
is the Bluegrass Masters Tour at the PAC, so if you have tickets for
this event the Wine Review is open for dinner. Come down before the
show, have an incredible meal, and you can leave your car in our 100
car parking lot right off of State street. Then after the show stop
back for dessert and a nice glass of wine before ending home, so let
the banjo playing begin.
One of best parts about my job is trying all the specials that Chef
Bryan’s creative mind comes up with. If you have not been down here for
dinner in awhile, this is the definitely the time to stop in. Chef
Bryan has out done himself this week.
Wednesday Dinner Special

Certified Angus Choice Sirloin
10oz garlic rubbed, grilled sirloin served over a bed of roasted
peppers, grilled onions and diced sweet potatoes. Finished with a
jalapeno-watercress Aioli and fresh lime juice. |
 Thursday
Date Night
We’re paying for the babysitter, whats up with that?
This has gone over like crazy! Sometimes you stumble upon something
that works and Date Night is a perfect example. On your bill of $60 or
more we take $15 right off the top to pay for the sitter. Jeff Johnston
and Erin
Krebs do music right. The soft musical stylings in connection with the
ambience, service, roses and Chef Bryan’s culinary masterpieces make
this the place to impress that special someone in your life.
Friday & Saturday Dinner Special
Fresh Venezuelan Red Snapper
Pan seared with a blue corn tortilla breading, served atop a tequila
spiked wild rice with sweet potatoes and roasted poblano and red bell
peppers, accompanied by a fresh avocado salsa, finished with a jalapeno
watercress aioli.

years ago the Titanic sunk off the coast of Newfoundland on it’s maiden
voyage by a iceberg. So if your plans for the weekend are going to see
a movie go rent this great movie instead of paying the enormous fees at
the theater, grab a bottle of wine at Flanagan’s and relax on your
couch while watching this classic. Nothing better on a wet weekend in
April then a movie and wine.
Frost Bitten Ice Riesling
Speaking of icebergs you can feel like your on one, when you try Frost Bitten Ice Riesling.
Made from frozen post-harvest grapes this is very similar to
traditional Ice Wine but at a fraction of the cost. This glacial
adventure normally costs $29.99 a bottle on sale now only $11.99.
Teacher’s Pet Chardonnay
Looking for that perfect gift for all those hard working teachers that
you know. Teacher’s Pet Chardonnay is as ripe and delicious as the
apples you gave to your favorite teacher when you were young. Normally $14.99 but on sale now for $9.99
Juniper Lane
Sanford Chardonnay is a wonderful chardonnay that is on the pricey side
at around $24.99 a bottle. You should look this wine up on the internet.
It just so happens that Santa Barbara where Sanford is made produced
too much juice, so they labeled the overflow as Juniper Lane. This
Chardonnay is the same caliber as Sanford Chardonnay just a different
label.
This is very limited and a one shot deal at

Las Moras
Las Moras Wine is flying off the shelf. Julie and I opened a bag of
shrimp and were they wonderful! As big as a small baby’s fist these are
extra large shrimp with around 30 in a bag. You will pay about $12 for
five of these in a shrimp cocktail, but here at Flanagan’s they are two
bags FREE
along with six Flat Iron Angus Steaks.
These Argentinean wines are a great deal for everybody, complements of
John Nueburg.
Flavors include…
Malbec,
Bonarda,
Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay
