springHi everyone,
WOW, what a beautiful sunny day! It looks like spring is here, and just in time for Easter. I’m really looking forward to Sunday. Easter is a great day to spend with family and the Flanagan family is no exception. I can’t wait to see my nieces show off their beautiful Easter dresses', they will be even more radiant then they already are.

Speaking of Easter, all of the crew at Flanagan’s is gearing up to help you have the best one yet. If you have any questions about wine parings or drinks just ask one of our helpful staff members. They all tell me that this is the best part of their job, so come in and make their day.
captial
There is a new beer on tap at the Wine Review; it is Capital Brewery’s Platinum Blonde Dopplebock. The deep golden color leads to an extremely flavorful, yet very drinkable beer of great character. A great way to start off your dining experience.

Wednesday Dinner Special
Kurobuta Pork Chop
Stuffed with granny smith apples and sweet caramelized onions served with pineapple-orange reduction sauce. Served over sweet potato and sage puree with house vegetables.
F.Y.I: Kurobuta Pork also known Berkshire Pork is the best tasting pork I have ever had. It’s texture is exquisite – supple yet meaty. It’s flavor is lush, distinctive, and abundant. The marbling makes it the juiciest pork in the world.

This has gone over like crazy! Sometimes you stumble upon something that works and Date Night is a perfect example. Jeff Johnston and Erin Krebs do music right. The soft musical stylings in connection with the ambience, service, roses and Chef Bryan’s culinary masterpieces make this the place to impress that special someone in your life.

Friday Fish Specials
To honor Sunday being Easter, the Chef has created two fish specials for this last Friday of Lent.

sea bassFresh Chilean Sea Bass
This beautiful white flakey fish is becoming one of the best selling fish selections at the Wine Review; this Friday’s special will be no exception. Chef Bryan will be serving a seared filet of Sea Bass with a slow cooked tomato and onion confit and a sherry vineagar nage infused with tarragon. A nage is the poaching liquid used to cook the fish, then butter is added and traditionally it is served on the plate and around the fish. Wild rice and house vegetable will accompany this dish.

Fresh Wisconsin Rainbow Trout
Also this Friday we will be featuring a Wisconsin pan seared stuffed rainbow trout; stuffed with a blend of roasted peppers and diced red potatoes, served over wild rice and house vegetable, finished with a fresh cilantro lime cream sauce. Perfect dish to welcome in the spring here at the Wine Review.

chickenSaturday Dinner Special
French cut chicken breast stuffed with thinly sliced grilled fennel, served over wild rice and house vegetable. Finished with a fresh orange juice reduction infused with fresh tarragon.
